Curriculum
Creating an intellectually rigorous, interest-driven, interdisciplinary curriculum that meets the standards for graduation set by the state of Ohio, allows for student choice, is relevant to the lives of our students, and serves the needs of our diverse community of learners.
Experience
Incorporating experiential and outdoor learning through field studies, using tools to build and create, gardening, and practicing environmental stewardship.
Diversity
Preparing our students to thrive in a world rich in diversity by establishing a safe, respectful, multi-age community that celebrates the uniqueness of each individual and their contributions to our school and the wider community.
Challenge
Coaching students to view their areas of challenge as opportunities for growth as they strive to become the best versions of themselves while acquiring valuable real-world skills for their chosen post-graduation path.
Discourse
Conducting Socratic seminars using texts from a variety of cultures and perspectives, fostering a desire to better understand the universe and our place within it through respectful discourse.
